Look of the month April – Indoor & Outdoor

Nu de lenAs spring approaches with a promise of long day light and warmer days, it invites us to spruce up our outdoor to get ready for summer. Indoor-Outdoor style remains a strong trend, combining both interior and exterior designing ideas to create outdoor living spaces that are extensions of the indoor. As we spend more time outdoors, it only makes sense to pay the same attention to our outdoor areas as would on our living room.

This look features KOBE’s new Indoor & Outdoor upholstery fabrics, which are developed to have the aesthetics of indoor style furniture while technically meeting all the requirements for outdoor usage. Combining the best of both indoor and outdoor, these fabrics are great to create comfortable and striking living spaces, both inside and outside.

Bring indoors outside

Comfortable seating is key to bring the comfort and cosiness of inside to outside. Outdoor rugs, decoration and plush throws will make the comfy look complete. Style wise, you can either create an outdoor style that is in harmony with your indoor style, or choose to create a totally new style. There is no one right rule here.

Choose the right fabrics!

Sturdy fabrics with high resistance to UV, yellowing, mold and mildew, microbes, water and weather conditions are a must while picking fabrics out for outdoor furnishings. Soft, natural touch is important to get a comfortable indoor vibe. Kobe’s Easy & Safe indoor & outdoor fabrics meet all the requirements of outdoor usage while giving the right indoor vibe.

Colour it up, or stay neutral?

While we have opted to go for a striking coral pink colour combination for this look, soft neutrals combined with earthy basics are also beautiful. If your indoor has a neutral colour palette, you can make your outdoor contrastingly colourful. If the outdoor space is connected to the indoor space, you can also choose to keep the same colour palette as indoor and add pops of colour instead. Whether you go for an all-white, contemporary palette, or a multicoloured bohemian look, combine textures and patterns in harmony to bring the look together.
