Open Living

With more and more modern homes/houses incorporating an open kitchen and living room layout, the kitchen becomes a part of the complete interior styling. This month we have styled an open living with our new wide-width fabric Cardamom in a powder pink tone to add a touch of spring vibe in the room.
This soft colour and texture of this chenille curtain compliments the modern style of this kitchen. The result is an open, welcoming look with chic undertones.

Colour Palette
We have taken inspiration from spring colours, combining soft, pastel powder pink with light earth tone and gold accents.

Practical and aesthetic

With open kitchen and living, it is important to have a spacious and versatile layout that functions as a complete living area. Plan the layout in a way that allows practical use of the space without compromising the design aesthetics. Creating storage areas that allow to keep the room clutter free is recommended. Accessories that may hinder movement should be avoided. Leafy plants and seasonal spring blossoms will add life to the room.

Curtains make the room

Curtains and accessories play an important role to bring together the living area with the kitchen area, and are integral to style the entire space in a cohesive balance. Choose a curtain that adds style and décor to the kitchen and living area. Drapes and blinds can be combined to create a dynamic effect.

Colour combinations

Combine colours and layer them to create a dynamic mix. With the trend of black and dark coloured modern kitchen and dining, adding soft colour tones in the fabrics will create a welcoming vibe. Combine complementing colours in curtains and dining chairs to enhance the living area. Pastel and soft colour tones are great choices to make the room feel more open and go well with a wide range of other materials such as marble, cement and wood mostly used in the open living concepts.
